Teerthanker Mahaveer University has been established as Private Jain Minority University by an ‘Act’ (No. 30) of 2008 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) vide letter No. F. 9-31/2008(CPP-1) dated October, 2008 with the aim of becoming a world class comprehensive University with the mission of imparting high quality multi-disciplinary UG, PG and PhD programs, and high calibre research and development in cutting-edge areas. The University is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University is located at Moradabad on National Highway-24, barely 144 Km from New Delhi.
